ELEVEN IN MOTION: ABSTRACT EXPRESSIONS IN ANIMATION





The Toronto Animated Image Society, in conjunction with Cinematheque Ontario and Christopher Cutts Gallery, is pleased to present a commissioned animation project inspired by the work of the Painters Eleven.

Eleven animation artists have been chosen to create new films inspired by one of the artists in the Painters Eleven group. These eleven new animated films will be premiered at the Cinematheque Ontario on November 11, 8 PM.

Following the premiere, the new animated works, alongside paintings by the Painters Eleven, will be on display at the Christopher Cutts Gallery from November 18 – 25, 2009. The gallery opening takes place November 18, 2009, 6 to 9 PM.

There will be a free artist talk on Tuesday November 17, 2009, 7 PM at the NFB Mediatheque with all participating artists.
